More years ago than I care to remember, I walked into a photographers studio and asked for a job as an assistant, within nine months I was running the studio.
Wanting to work with the moving image, I took a foundation in film and photography at LCP, in London.
The next step of my career was as a camera trainee on a Pinewood feature. I discovered I loved being on set and making films. I quickly moved up the ranks and was soon a focus puller, on music videos (U2, Bjork, Depeche Mode), commercials (Ford, Audi) and features (Lock Stock, Hotel Splendide). During this time I also shot shorts and music videos, as a director of photography.
In the following years I discovered contemporary dance at The London School of Contemporary Dance, at The Place. These classes changed my life, forcing me to live truly in the present, working only with what I had at my disposal.
An MA in Scenography (Dance) at Laban followed, studying costume, performance space and lighting design.
I now make films, take photographs and work with projection, and theatrical lighting design.
I have a wealth of experience working with choreographers, commissioning editors, musicians, composers, scriptwriters, dramaturges, creatives, artists, adventurers, athletes, CEO's, stylists, editors, and producers, to name a few.
I work with a broad range of budgets and projects, from the self shooting documentary, to multi camera live shows, and everything in-between.
Please get in touch with any projects or ideas, whether fully formed or embryonic. I look forward to hearing from you.
